Peter Stanway Photography
Introduction
About Peter Stanway ........
Many moons ago, during the mid 1970's, I was a student at the Glasgow School of Art. After leaving I had a spell as a free-lance artist and this developed into free-lance photography. After working with all kinds of photographic styles and commissions I specialised in Rock and Pop photography throughout the early 1980's.
I worked with over 500 different bands from the sublime to the ridiculous and had a modicum of success with the music tabloids being commissioned to do some major features including front and centre page articles. The Arts Council exhibited my work throughout the UK.
All of this led to an insane period in my life and I ended up living in Southern Spain from 1986-1993. During this time I did next-to-no photography but did start to have exhibitions of my artwork in a variety of towns and villages. I became a born-again Christian in November 1989.
Now, as a full-time minister and missionary I travel the world and on my travels I take photographs. The idea occurred to me that some of you out there might want to purchase copies of them and, in doing so, help to generate funds to support the mission work. You may even want to make a donation.
